We need to collect feedback from the training to AWS: You will recieve an email from AWS asking you to review the training experience, this is very important for me as it’s the main way AWS evaluates my performance, please take 5 minutes to answer this. Thanks.

Day 1

Before first Lab.

  1. Be aware of pop-up windows, example in Safari you need to click tiny icon in the right of the address bar to allow pop-ups.
  2. Labs have High-Level Instructions, if you feel confident just try to do with them, if you need more help, you can follow the Detailed Instructions.
  3. Labs have Choice A and Choice B as potential solutions, analise bouth and pick the one you think is correct. At the end of the lab you can check the Solution to see right solution.

  • Q: Can we create a Policy that have an expiration date and stop working after a specific date ?

  • A: Yes, using conditional DateLessThan Source

  • Q: In NACLs, can I have a Line with no rule, just to add text to help describe the group or category of rules that come next ?

  • A: No, unfortunatly, not only that is not possible, theres no meta data associated per rule to describe it. I have opened a ticket to AWS asking for that feature. For now you can use IaC like Terraform and add comment lines to help describing and organizing your rules.

  • Q: Can we ingest all type of logs and metrics into a place and AWS inteligently find patters on it ?

  • A: Yes, use Amazon Lookout for Metrics
