Day 1

Before first Lab.

  1. Be aware of pop-up windows, example in Safari you need to click tiny icon in the right of the address bar to allow pop-ups.
  2. Labs have High-Level Instructions, if you feel confident just try to do with them, if you need more help, you can follow the Detailed Instructions.
  3. Labs have Choice A and Choice B as potential solutions, analise bouth and pick the one you think is correct. At the end of the lab you can check the Solution to see right solution.

All AWS pricing is public, you can check it on official AWS Documentation pages but also on AWS Calculator (an official service), as well as in some 3rd party providers that agregate and share that info in different formats to make easier to chose a service or region.

  • Q: What IPv4 will be charged in Feb 2024 and forward?

  • A: We are introducing a new charge for public IPv4 addresses. Effective February 1, 2024 there will be a charge of $0.005 (3,6€/month) per IP per hour for all public IPv4 addresses, whether attached to a service or not (there is already a charge for public IPv4 addresses you allocate in your account but don’t attach to an EC2 instance).   • Q: What are the max number of Elastic IPs I can have?

  • A: Max 5 Elastic IPs per account per region soft limit, can be raised by opening a ticket. Source
